And below is Chloe at 5 months old...
My mom's been asking me to post some more and I finally got all caught up with what I had. So after church today I took a few pictures of Chloe.
On Tuesday afternoon, the girls and I headed down south to Circleville to my sister-in-law's house for the week. It was her birthday that day so we made cupcakes and all the kids helped her blow out candles! I only took one picture the whole time I was there. The kids were cute at times, but crazier most of the time! And at those moments I seriously thought I might go crazy!!! :)
One night, we headed to the next, also tiny town over to their aunt's house to do some canning! It was so fun, and my first time doing it! I had the easy job, I just had to label the top of the cans! I only filled 18 cans this time with flour, sugar, pasta, and pancake mix. I have a long ways to go, but I'll do it! That is one of my main goals for the year is to be more prepared... mainly with our food storage!
While we were there, Uncle Alan had to go pick up a tractor so he and Heather went and took Brody and Maddie with them while I stayed home with Kenzie and Chloe. The kids had a blast on the truck! Maddie has been asking to go for a ride in his Semi for quite some time now. The trip was an hour and a half one-way, which both kids slept most of the way there, and they still loved it!
This is the one picture I took of Brody feeding Chloe. These two absolutely LOVE each other! As soon as Brody woke up in the morning he'd come see if Chloe was awake and instantly ask to hold her! He wanted to do whatever he could to help me with her, and was actually a pretty good helper! Brody could get Chloe to laugh and giggle harder than I've heard her giggle. It was cute watching him get so excited every time she laughed at him!
I LOVE moments like this! I just sat and watched the girls being so cute, playing with each other on their tummies (until I realized I should grab a picture and ran for my camera!)It's so cute hearing Maddie talk to Chloe, as if she's a big girl too and can understand things like she can. Maddie has had quite the imagination these days and loves to play make believe, especially with her sister!
We went over to my aunt & uncle's on Sunday for dinner. While we were eating, Chloe was jumping in their little jumpy-jump horsey. After we finished eating someone noticed she had fallen asleep in there. It was the cutest thing! She didn't like the flash of my camera too much, but I had to snap some pictures anyway. Obviously she wore herself out on her horse ride!
I took this video a week or so ago, but forgot to post it. It still doesn't really do Chloe's talking justice, but it's the best I have right now! I'll try again another time!
Yes, that title is correct! I think I blogged about it months ago, before Chloe was born, when I tried to push Maddie to be potty trained and it totally back fired on me! She wanted NOTHING to do with the toilet, or big girl panties! So, we decided that once things slowed down after the holidays, we'd give it another try! She did good!!! She only had 2 accidents in the first 4 days, and by that 4th day, she was completely potty trained! Even through the night... and that one she did ALL ON HER OWN! I wasn't going to push that part of it right away, I figured she could wear pull ups to bed for a while but SHE DID IT! She begged to wear panties to bed the 3rd night, and I was totally hesitant, but new I couldn't tell her no to that, but then tell her she had to wear them during the day so I let her, and it all worked out!!!
She's been potty trained for about a week and a half or so and I don't even have to ask her if she has to go, she is sure to let us all know with that lovely loud voice of hers that it's time! We are so proud of Maddie, and so thankful to have one less bum to change! And her little bummy is pretty darn cute in those little panties!!!
My little Chloe bug is growing up way too fast! I've loved every minute of it, but it makes me sad at the same time. I know how fast the time flies, I can't believe Maddie is already two and a half, coming up on her third birthday! It's like you blink, and you miss it all!
And finally... we have some pictures from our Christmas morning.
Jackson turned two on December 31st, so we had a little birthday party for him early, while we were all together.
