Katie took pictures of my kids yesterday. Well, mostly Sam's pictures, but we did manage to get a shot or two with the girls. She gave me my sneak peek already, and I LOVE them! I can't wait to see the rest! Check them out here!
If you are in the Salt Lake area and need pictures taken, she is the one to go to! :)

3 Weeks
It's so crazy to think 3 weeks have already gone by!The girls can't get enough of their baby brother, can you tell?
If you ask Maddie what her brother's name is, she'll probably tell you "Sammy Rockstar". Please don't believe her. As much as that is a WAY cool name, there is no actual "Rockstar" on his birth certificate. We're not even sure where it came from. It started when one day she decided his name should be "Daniel Rockstar"... where does she come up with these things???
Update: He Passed! Sammy had his hearing test on Wednesday, and he passed!

First Bath... At Home
Sammy finally got his first bath at home! We had to wait until both his circumcision healed, and his umbilical cord... it fell off a little early and was bleeding, so we had to wait until the bleeding stopped! It was nice to give him a real bath, rather than a sponge bath!

Can't Get Enough Of Him...
Maddie LOVES her baby brother! She asks to hold him or touch him all day long!
Just because she's so darn cute...
Little Sammy wasn't too fond of tummy time, but can you really blame him? It doesn't surprise me much, so far, none of my kids have been fans. He was actually a pretty good trooper, hopefully he keeps it up... both my girls HATED it. They cried every time so I wasn't very good about making them do it. Maybe for a few minutes a day, if that!
Sam Meets Cousins
Mike's parents and sister, Heather, and her 2 kids drove up from Circleville Saturday to spend the afternoon with us and meet Sam. McKenzie and Brody loved being able to hold him. We had a fun afternoon at Pirate Island for lunch. Afterward, we came back to our house for the kids to hold Sammy one more time before they headed back home. It's not easy getting a picture with 4 little ones, but I think we did a pretty good job.
Thank goodness for another boy to even things out... a little bit. Poor Brody has been surrounded by girls until now! Although I don't think it's really bothered him too much, he and Maddie are the best of friends when they're together!
Sledding
Friday night we got some snow, so Saturday morning Mike took Maddie out behind our house on this tiny hill to try out her tube. It's not much of a hill, and there wasn't a ton of snow but it worked and Maddie had a blast anyway! They were probably out there for a good 45 minutes on that little hill! I was able to pick up the house during that time, while Chloe and Sam napped!
She went over the "street bump", as she called it (the curb).

Sam's 2 Week Check-Up
I took Sam to the doctor yesterday, and everything is looking good! I actually think he might be getting acid-reflux, like Chloe had, but so far he isn't in nearly as much pain as Chloe had, yet, just showing some of the same signs... to include major projectile spit up and won't sleep in his own bed! So we'll wait and hope it's just part of being new and getting used to the outside world, and NOT reflux! Other than that, Sam is a GREAT baby! And he is a great sleeper, just not in his own bed! He either sleeps in his swing, in my bed, or in our arms.
Weight: 7lbs, 12oz (21%)
Length: 22 inches (89%)
Head: 14.2 inches (27%)

2 Weeks
Little Sam has been with us for 2 weeks now, and we couldn't love him more! I know I keep saying this, but it's been so fun having a little boy around! And I think we're starting to get the whole diaper changing thing down... that's a big change for us! :)We think Sam might have acid reflux, just like Chloe did. He has his regular check up tomorrow so we'll talk to the doctor about it then. He's had a few uncomfortable moments, and has some definite projectile spit-up.
