Another Day At The Zoo

Maddie... from the very beginning!
We went to the Zoo again Saturday afternoon with my cousin Kristi and her family. Maddie always loves going to the Zoo! We bought a membership back in March, and it has already been well worth the money for the amount of times we've used it so far! It's nice not having it very far from our house. Maddie woke up this morning asking to go to the Zoo to see the animals. She must have dreamt about it, I don't know!

Alisi, Fia, Maddie

Anyway, it was another gorgeous day on Saturday, so the Zoo was PACKED! Finding parking was a joke... so by the time we found something, Maddie was asleep! I thought she would stay asleep the whole time, but I think I went over a few too many bumps. She was so excited to wake up and not only see that we were at the Zoo, but to see Fia and Alisi there too. She just loves to "pway with fwends" (translated: play with friends)!!!

Nail Polish

Well, she finally got it! Her toes painted pretty pink, just like mom's! And while I was gone at the store this afternoon, I came home to daddy painting her fingernails a "sparkle pink"! Maddie loves it! She is so excited to show everyone who will look!

One other little side note.... She finally did it! Maddie can now open doors all by herself, no problem at all. This isn't a milestone we are very excited about, although, worth reporting! :)

Tulip Festival

It was such a beautiful afternoon today, that we decided to head up north as soon as Mike got home from work to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Maddie loves flowers, and was so excited to go see them. It's amazing that such little things can be so exciting through a child's eye. Maddie was ecstatic to get out of the car after the long drive and smell the flowers. She thinks she needs to smell a flower every time she sees one!

The Prettiest Princess

Grandma gave Maddie a new princess nightgown today. I guess it was supposed to be for her birthday, but she said she couldn't wait! Doesn't she just look so cute in it? Maddie loves it! Thanks grandma!!!

Snow In April???

Did I not just post something from last weekend, and our beautiful 80 degree weather??? And now this weekend.... SNOW??? Are you kidding me? We had a huge hail storm today, and now snow! This is ridiculous!!! I am so ready for summer!! Maddie is loving every minute of this though. She does love the snow!!

This is just a funny picture I took of Maddie this morning. She is sitting in this basket full of toys, watching TV. This can't be comfortable, but she doesn't seem to notice!

Goofy Girl

Yesterday we went to an indoor playground right down the street from our house. We counted it as a visiting teaching visit with a few of the ladies from our ward, as it seems like it's a big circle, and we all visit each other! Maddie just loves going to these indoor playgrounds, and I love it too because it's a huge gym for her to run around, get all of her energy out, and then take a nice long nap when we get home! I forgot to take pictures while we were there, but I did snap one before we left. You can't see the big pile of toys near Maddie, but anytime we get ready to go somewhere, Maddie has to run back and grab as many toys and animals that she can possibly hold onto, and she actually thinks she will bring them all with her. You think she'd quit trying after I put them all back... every single time!

Also, a HUGE THANKS to our friends, Nathan, Raya, and Ilee for watching Maddie yesterday evening while Mike and I went to the temple. They are always so great and so willing, and Maddie just loves to go play with Ilee! She woke up this morning talking about playing with Ilee and Ilee's dad! Thanks Morgans!!!

80 Degrees In Seattle

What a beautiful day we had today! It's supposed to start raining again tomorrow, so we had to take full advantage of it, and what a day we had! We started out at the Zoo this morning, this is the first time Daddy has been able to come with Maddie, to the Woodland Park Zoo anyway! We all had a blast, and loved being out in the warm weather, even in the morning! Maddie kept wanting these little statue animals to say "cheese" for the camera. She probably would have been just as happy seeing statues, then the real animals. Although, she did get so excited to show Daddy all of the different animals, especially the monkeys and the snakes!

Maddie came back for a nap, while Daddy mowed the lawn. After she woke up, Daddy tried to teach her to golf... again! He decided that she just isn't going to be a golfer! I guess an almost 2-year old doesn't stand still long enough! :)

Then we went to the park with some friends of ours (Maddie's friend Ilee). The girls had a great time playing on the slides and swings, and then playing some games with their dads. Maddie started turning a bit red, thank goodness I had some sunscreen in my car!
We finished the night off going out for a yummy dinner to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. Now we are all worn out and ready for bed... but are happy we had such a fun day!

Crazy "Pretty"

Maddie has been asking for a 'pretty' in her hair like mom's. All that means is a ponytail. Mike put one in her hair the other day and she loved it! So, she asked for one again this morning before she went in to brush her teeth with dad. This is what she got. A bit crazy, but we think it's cute that her little mullet hair will go all up in a ponytail! And Maddie is so proud of her hair too!!!

Counting To Ten

We had Maddie's little friend, Anza, over to play today. We have been trying to catch Maddie on camera counting to ten for a while now, but have been unsuccessful because every time she sees the camera, she gets stubborn and won't do it... even though she counts everything ALL DAY LONG! Not even exaggerating! We finally caught her! I was blowing bubbles with the girls, and she was counting them. So Mike got the camera out and hid behind the couch! Yea, we did it! You will have to pause the music at the bottom to hear her. We think it's really cute! She still needs to work on counting all the numbers... she always skips 3 and 7. Will not say them! So it's 1-2-4-5-6-8-9-10.

IT'S A GIRL!!!

We are all so excited to announce that we will be having another girl! She will be due around August 20th. I guess you can never have too much pink, huh? I'm anxious to pull out all of Maddie's little baby clothes to see what I have! We are off to go shopping now for her own very first outfit!!! Wish us all luck... especially Mike! He may need it in this house full of girls!!!

A Day At The Zoo

Watching the Otters and the Bears (and the fish too)

Maddie & Ilee holding hands

Playing the drums

Zonked out!

We went to the Zoo today with Maddie's friend Ilee and her mom. The girls had a blast, as usual! It started out cold in the morning, but half way through the clouds went away, and it was a beautiful day! Not only did Maddie miss her morning nap, but I'm pretty sure we wore her out. She and Ilee both fell asleep before we even made it to the car, and she is still asleep now (it's been a couple hours already!) I didn't get too many good pictures, but I posted a few I did get.

Pump It Up

We took the kids to play at Pump It Up today.

Maddie's silly face, as she was running past to go to the obstacle course.

Jackson and Maddie, going down the big slide all by themselves... and LOVING every minute of it!

For those of you who haven't heard of it, it has two huge gym size rooms full of blow up toys; like slides, basketball, obstacle courses, etc. The kids had a blast. Jackson's favorite was the slide (that was mine too!) Maddie's favorite was probably a tie between the slide and the obstacle courses. But she loved it all, and usually took Auntie Heather or Uncle Benjamin's hand to go play... she chose who was "allowed" to go with her! I added a few videos and pictures of the fun we had! The good part was, under two plays for half price, and the parents play free!! We probably had just as much fun as the kids!

It was a blast, and we will definitely go back again! We were so sad that Parker, Brooklynn, and Jackson had to go back home today. We have had a such a great time with them the past few days!! Maddie will miss them for sure, they are all she talks about anymore!!

Happy Birthday, Mike!

Mike turned 25 today!!! Yea!! We didn't do anything too special (sorry, Mike!) We did go out for Brazilian food for lunch with my parents and Brooklynn and Parker. Thanks to Uncle Benjamin for being so brave to watch both kids for us! Lucky for him, they were down for naps most of the time! The food was so yummy!!! And it was nice not having to deal with an active toddler during mealtime! Mike had a meeting/seminar that night, so that was that for his birthday! Happy Birthday, Mike!!

Happy Easter!

Maddie & Jackson in their Easter outfits... before dinner!

Maddie & Ava... I had to post two pictures. We couldn't get them to both look and smile at the same time! Too much going on!

Opening Easter presents from Grandma and Grandpa, and from Auntie Heather!

We had a great Easter! Starting with Maddie checkin out what the Easter Bunny brought her in her basket (she liked the candy more than the toys... shocker!), (I did take pictures of this, but we took them on the video camera because I left my camera at my mom's house, and we can't figure out how to put them onto the computer), then off to church. Maddie did such a great job coloring a picture of Jesus for Daddy. We came home, had a nap, then off to grandma and grandpa's for dinner. For dessert, we had Mike's favorite: Cheesecake and Strawberries, and we even sang Happy Birthday, since tomorrow is his birthday!!

Mmmmm, CUPCAKES! Maddie's favorite! She would eat these for breakfast, lunch and dinner if we'd let her; and she tried! :)

Decorating Eggs

Today we spent most of the day shopping, buying PINK for Brooklynn!! We had tons of fun, and even more when we came home and we all colored eggs!

Maddie just LOVES Parker. We're pretty sure she thinks he's her boyfriend!!! After coloring eggs, Maddie just wanted to dance with Parker! Too cute!
