Maddie's Random Thoughts

I thought I'd post a few more of Maddie's little "funnies". She has so many each day, I know I've forgotten some of the best ones. This girl is HILARIOUS! They'd be even funnier if I filmed them, because her facial expressions and voice with them are a great combination. The problem is, they are SO random, I never know when they're coming! :)
* After we put on all of Maddie's snow clothes to go out and play in the less than 1/2 inch of snow on the ground, Maddie says: "I look like a snowman." (In a 'not so good' tone).
* "Mom, I don't love pink anymore. I just love blue, cause my eyes are blue."

* "You berry know your numbers, Mom!" (You very know...)

* Maddie comes in the room VERY sad, almost disappointed like and says, "I'm not really a superhero. I was just pretending. I'm just me, Maddie."

* "If you say so..."

* "That's just the style!"

* "I just really love my dad."

* Maddie: "I just tooted, Mom."
Me: "Can you say excuse me?"
Maddie: "Nooo silly, bums can't talk!"
And a couple pictures of Chloe... just because she's so darn cute! :)

Bathy

My girls LOVE taking a bath! I swear Maddie showers or bathes multiple times a day. Any time she can jump in with me or Mike in the morning, she will. Then she'll usually take a bath after that, plus a shower after swim lessons, and will sometimes jump in with Chloe in the evening. Chloe really could use a bath after every meal. She loves to rub her hands through her hair, which is why you usually won't see her with a "pretty" in her hair... she pulls them all out almost instantly! Anyway, I usually just wipe her head down after breakfast and lunch, but by the time dinner's over, she's definitely in need of a bath! If Chloe hears that bath turn on, she goes running in there! And if you don't put her in yourself, watch out... she'll just dive on in! Crazy girl!!!

The next two pictures you'll see below if a "fun" game the girls just started playing... who can hog the most bath toys. Thank you Maddie for teaching your baby sister to be a stinker! :)
This is just a funny little video of the girls playing in the bath. They kept knocking 'My Little Ponies' off the side of the bath an thought it was just about the funniest thing ever!

Swim Lessons

Maddie took a month off of swim lessons after going just about every day during the summer, but we started them back up late September. She loves going! We tried out the ones at the Provo Rec Center because they were closer and cheaper than the ones we went to out in Lehi, but... I think you get what you pay for! :( She took 2 sessions there, and one of the teachers did pretty well with her, but the other, it was pretty much just play time for them. Besides the locker room grossed me out just a little bit, it looked pretty dirty. So, we're back up at the Lehi pool again and she's loving it! She's starting to be a good little swimmer, holding her breath under water for a good amount of time now while she swims! Here are a few pictures, some from Provo and some from Lehi.

The pool in Lehi, if you're age three and under you have to not only wear a swim diaper, but a plastic diaper cover as well. Regardless of whether or not you're potty trained. Maddie is the only 3 year old in her class (everyone else is 4) and she's NOT a big fan of the "crunchy diaper". But she's been a good sport about it, I just keep reminding her that on her next birthday she won't have to wear either swim diaper anymore!

Maddie's in the blue swim suit on the right.

Another Grandma Surprise!

Grandma is SOOOO good to my girls!!! I swear Maddie checks the front door now every time we're on our way in. She's always the one to spot a package sitting at the door. And this time was no different! I didn't even notice it sitting there! As soon as we pulled into the garage, Maddie couldn't get her seat belt off fast enough and out to get the package! I had no idea what it was, and was worried Maddie was going to be disappointed that it wasn't for her... But, it was! Grandma surprised us again with some goodies for the girls!

My mom's mom (my grandma) was so good to her grandkids. There are more than 50 of us and I think we all believed we were definitely her favorite grandchild! She just made us all feel so special! Well, I have a feeling my mom is going to be no different with her grandkids! I hope when I'm a grandma, I'll measure up to what my mom is to my girls!!

Hogle Zoo

We haven't taken the kids to the Zoo since we've moved back here to Utah a year ago, and it's way too hot to go in the summer, so we've been waiting to take them in the Fall. The Saturday we decided to go a week ago was gorgeous! A perfect fall day to go to the Zoo! Maddie was so excited to go! When we lived in Washington, we had a season pass to the Zoo and only lived maybe 15 minutes away so we went many times, it never got old! After going to Hogle Zoo, Mike and I decided that going once a year is plenty! Especially because it's an hour away from us! There just isn't much to see. They did have a few baby animals there that were definitely the highlight! They were so cute!!

Chloe kept running up to the animals and yelling, "Hiiiiii!" over and over! It was pretty funny!
The girls loved just running around, so it was a fun trip. Just one we probably won't make again for another year... at least not to this Zoo! :)
