Denver

Mike and I were able to get away for a weekend to Denver. It was really for work, but thanks to the Friday's, and their kids, we got to play too! I missed my girls like crazy, but I'll have to admit, once we got there, it was nice to have a little break.

We loved to wait outside to be picked up for our next activity and watch these cute little bunnies. There were seven babies and one mama that just hung out in these bushes just outside our hotel doors. We flew in late Thursday evening. On Friday, Kelly, Bret's wife, came and picked me up for lunch and shopping while the boys worked. That night we went out for an amazing steak dinner... AMAZING! Saturday was a long day, but lots of fun! We drove up to Frisco for the big BBQ challenge. Yummy! We got home around 3:45pm and were so tired we thought we'd just lay down for a little bit and then get something for dinner, maybe catch a movie. Ya, well, we didn't wake up until 8pm so we ordered room service for dinner and a movie off the TV! Sunday (Father's Day), we flew home!

Preschool & Swim Lessons

All in the same week, Maddie started summer Preschool and swim lessons, and even had Sunshine Generation, which made for a very busy week! This was Maddie on her first day of Preschool. They had to bring a teddy bear to class with them on this day. She goes every Tuesday and Thursday for a couple hours, but on Tuesday, they stay for an extra 45 minutes and do gymnastics, which is the highlight for Maddie!

With Preschool ending at noon in Lindon, and swim lessons starting at 12:20 in Lehi, it is quite the rush to get her changed, in the car, rushing off to swim while she has a snack in the car! But, she loves swim lessons! She had 2 teachers this last time (on different days) Alex and Aubrey. She loved both of them.
Maddie is quite the handful when it comes to swimming. She thinks she can swim (she can't), she can't sit still, and has a very hard time listening. She is always the last one out of the pool, usually takes a few of the swim teachers to chase her out. One time I caught her up the stairs to the top of the slide.... scary moment as a mom, I was ready to jump in... ya, where was her teacher on that one?? Don't worry, I complained and it never happened again! :)
We missed sign ups so we've had a two week break, but we start back up on Monday!

I have a lot to catch up on, I will work on that hopefully in the next week before Maddie's swim lessons start back up again and life gets even crazier with our daily activities. But I thought I should post since word seems to be getting out anyway, we too are surprised, to be....

{kd} Photography

Click HERE to see the cutest pictures of the two cutest girls in the world (that would be my girls, in case you hadn't guessed!)

Mike's cousin's wife does some amazing photography and just happened to be in Utah about a week ago and took pictures of my girls up at the U of U. It's just a sneak peak for now... more to come! :)

Thanks Katie!

Birthday Party #2- Seattle

Maddie was spoiled and got to have another party up in Seattle thanks to Grandma and Aunt Heather. It was a very low key get-together, but perfect!
Maddie had a blast seeing her cousins.
She has been asking to see Fia and Alisi for quite some time so I'm so glad she finally got to see them!
And lucky for her, Ava was able to make it to both birthday parties! We timed those just right for her! :)
It was so good to have Grandpa & Tony there, and Karol, Sydnee, & Bo too! Even Heather O. came and brought her sweet new baby Scarlett. What a cutie she is!
Maddie once again, loved her cupcakes, this time Ariel (The Little Mermaid!)Even Chloe loved the cupcakes... big surprise! haha!I tried to just give her Cheerios, silly me, to think she'd actually want Cheerios while everyone else ate cupcakes! Don't worry, she let me know, and I gave it to her! :) Look at that picture above, how excited she is to get a cupcake! Sweet baby of mine!!

Thanks to those of you who came last minute, and especially thanks to Grandma and Heather!
I added these pictures in from Chloe that day, they don't even show how much she LOVES my mom's dog Scout, but trust me, she does! My mom is holding her here, but normally Scout would just lay there for her while she crawled and climbed all over her, no help needed! :) It was hilarious to watch these two, every single day!

Go Mariners!

Over Memorial Day weekend while we were up in Seattle we went to the Mariner's game. We all had a blast! It was the little leaguer's night so since we had my little brother and cousin there, we all got to walk around the field!Chloe enjoyed snacking on her cheerios. Maddie loved yelling out "Go Mariners!" and also loved flirting with the drunk men in front of us. I didn't enjoy so much when Maddie decided she didn't want the pepperoni on her pizza so she threw it in front of her, onto some lady's white purse... ya, probably NOT the highlight of the game! But besides that, we all really enjoyed the game, as usual! It was so fun watching Griffey back playing with the M's again!

By the 7th inning stretch, Maddie was asleep across my lap, which is too bad because she is loving the 'take me out to the ballgame' song these days! Chloe was falling asleep as well. The game was a little slow by then, and we were behind (and ended up losing) so we took off about the 8th inning. But overall, it was a great night!

Juanita Beach x2

We were so lucky to have gorgeous, amazing, perfect weather while we were up in Seattle! So we of course took advantage and went to Juanita Beach twice while we were there. Once on Friday afternoon before picking daddy up from the airport, and again with daddy on Sunday after church, we had a fun little picnic lunch there.Maddie, of course, loved the beach. My 'no fear' little girl, who jumps right in, no matter how cool the water is.

She took a little fall in the water right away and didn't even care! She laughed that she got her swim suit all wet! Silly girl!!
Maddie loved having aunt Heather there to build sand castles with her just so she could knock them over!
Chloe loved being outside eating... well, really, just eating these days keeps her very occupied. This girl thinks if someone, anyone, has food, she ought to have a bite too... and why shouldn't she??? :)
I think Mike loved being back in Kirkland! His office was just down the street from this beach so sometimes, when he would actually take a lunch break, he'd grab subway or something and just sit down here by the water! What a great view to eat your lunch!
My parents and siblings came with us, along with my aunt Karol and her kids.
Needless to say, we had a great time both visits to the beach. Was definitely a highlight of our trip!!
