August Swim Lessons

For the month of August, Maddie took swim lessons at Seven Peaks, a local water park.  They were awesome! 

Chloe and Sam just got to hang out with mom for 30 minutes everyday during the lesson, although it really wasn't that bad. Chloe got to wade in the wave pool (the waves weren't turned on during lessons) and Sam usually napped the whole lesson. Chloe did fall in a couple times, she didn't mind being wet and I started to wonder if her 'falls' in the water were really an 'accident'. :)

I guess the classes usually don't fill up much in August (unlike the other months, so I've been told). Maddie was signed up for a couple sessions there, they last 2 weeks each. One session she had 1 or 2 other kids in her class, when they showed up. The last session, she was by herself! The teachers were so good with her! I loved that I was paying the price of a group lesson but actually getting a private lesson since nobody else signed up! 

On the last day of the session, they turn on the wave pool and a bunch of water slides. The teachers take the kids in their class and run around the water park for 30 minutes, where they can go on whatever they want! Maddie LOVED it! She has no fear when it comes to this kind of stuff. She went on all the big slides over and over without any hesitation!

From the pictures here, it looks like that's all she did was go on water slides. She really did have 9 days of swim lessons and only 1 day of play each session. Obviously I'm not a good picture taker and don't have a single one of her during the actual lesson. Maddie has a natural talent for swimming. She picks it up so fast. She has already passed the highest preschool class over and over again at 3 different swim lesson locations. She can't move up to the next class until she is 5 and 6 years old (depending on the location), she's barely 4 now so she won't be moving up any time soon. She is quite the little fish!

 We will definitely be taking swim lessons here again next summer!
