Happy Birthday, Mike!

Mike turned 27 on Wednesday! I feel bad we didn't do too much for his birthday. This year we kind of have an excuse, but I feel like there is an "excuse" every year. Poor Mike! He's so good about spoiling me on my birthday and I am not so good at doing the same!

I have been dieting, trying to get some of this baby weight off before my sister's wedding in June.  It's not fun or easy to diet alone, so Mike, being the amazing husband he is, agreed to diet with me!  So for his birthday, I just fixed him one of his favorite meals that is 'allowed' on our diet... grilled halibut and asparagus. We can't have any kind of sweet desserts (we're not big cake people anyway), but Maddie couldn't wait to sing Happy Birthday to Mike and have him blow out his candle.  So we got those gross, cheap cupcakes from the grocery store, something that wouldn't tempt us, at all, and the girls were in heaven! They went straight to the bath when they were done!

We got Mike two blu-rays for his birthday... New Moon and The Blindside.  Both great movies!! :)

Oh, My Silly Girls

Chloe has this obsession with carrying her little princess chairs around the entire house to get to whatever she needs to. They help her get into a lot of things she shouldn't. This silverware drawer isn't really dangerous, other than the butter knives in there, but I'm a little OCD about certain things being organized. It sure kept her entertained while I fed Sam though. (Ignore the outfit and crazy hair-do, this wasn't too long after she woke up!)

Maddie was so excited to come out and show me she had gotten herself dressed right away and was ready to go play... I promise I didn't let her go out in public like that!

My girls LOVE to eat! They seriously ask for "dinner" or "snacks" all day long! Well, Maddie asks for it. Since Chloe doesn't talk, she just brings me bowls or plates and talks her own whiny jibberish to me, which means she wants to eat. Then she'll sign "please" over and over again... it usually works! I promise I feed my kids, but they still are "starving" or "so hungry" all day long! It's funny that Chloe is still so little when she eats so much! I'm thankful my kids do like their fruits and vegetables. It makes me not feel so guilty feeding them every couple hours when they're eating something healthy.
I wish my girls would not grow up so fast! Every time I look at them I always think, "when did they grow up?" I love watching them learn new things and reach new milestones, but I miss my babies too!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!!

I love how they entertain each other!

Poor Sammy, always being mauled by his sisters!

Chloe cried after I took Sam away from her. She kept signing "more" and "please" and putting her hands out, over and over again. I felt bad, I know she loves her brother so much and always has to be holding him, touching him, or kissing him, but sometimes for Sam, I think enough is enough! He can only tolerate her slobbers and pokes for so long!

Afternoon At The Park

We had really nice weather on Tuesday, so after we picked up Maddie from school, the kids piled in the stroller and we took a walk to the park. It's been SO long since I took the kids to the park. It was so nice to get out. I think we stayed out for more than 2 hours!Maddie had a St. Patrick's Day party at school that day since she doesn't go on Wednesday's, which is why she's dressed in her green a day early... but don't worry, she insisted on wearing the shirt, bow, and socks on Wednesday too!

Sam- 10 Weeks

Sam is cooing and trying to talk so much now! It's so fun just to sit and "talk" with him. When he's awake (he still sleeps most of the day/night), he is so smiley! Even when his big sister Chloe comes and slobbers all over his face!
Sam has really been batting at his toys, I don't think it will be too much longer before he starts grabbing at them. He has already got quite the grip!
Sam is sleeping pretty well at night, I can't complain, but I will a little bit... BOTH the girls slept through the night by 6 weeks. Sam is now 10 weeks and still wakes up once in the middle of the night. OK, I know, it really could be worse, but three kids makes me really tired! I can't wait for him to sleep completely through the night!

I love his smiles, they just melt my heart!

Dresses

These pictures are mostly for my mom and sisters. I found these dresses at Costco for the girls to wear for my sister, Heather's wedding in June. The pink matched her color perfectly, and you can't beat the price! So we tried them on and took some pictures to show them our find, it's just taken me a while to post...

They're not the best pictures. The lighting isn't good on them, but besides my sucky camera with a broken flash, the girls would not hold still. Chloe decided she wanted the dress off and started throwing a fit! Maddie just kept twirling around. Maddie only likes a dress if it's poofy enough to spin and twirl "like a princess".
